A Tortoise and Me

A Journey of a Tortoise.....

Little Sam was curious about the human world. He grew up in a man made lake for the past 10 years.

He and his friends were curious of the human world outside their lake all this while. There is a greener world across the lake.

Little Sam wanted some adventure to explore the world outside his world. He wanted to see what lies beyond the water and the mud.

He took his challenge with his friends and wanted to swim further up the lake near where he could climb out of the lake without anyone noticing him.

He successfully came out of the lake, took his slow steps up the small hill( in his view, in human's view its a slope).

What he didn't know is that the danger that is waiting ahead for him and what is his faith for today?.

God has been watching him and allowed him to explore his curiosity.

Little Sam stepped above that hill and noticed a land beyond far ahead.He thought he has discovered a new land of nowhere land. He thought he could have place for himself and be a king of his land.

Little Sam excitedly continued his journey crawling, going down a step and landed on a grey black land.

He crossed a white line, when he put his first step after the white line he pulled his step back. A big black giant tyres passed him.

Little Sam tucked himself into the shell and he thought, "What was that thing?".

Then once again Little Sam tired his luck by moving further into the black land. It's all black and he could see some greens far ahead of him. He thought,"That is the paradise, the hidden paradise".

As Little Sam was making his steps, more cars were passing by and avoiding him.

Little Sam tucked himself in fright. "What are all these, I will still continue my journey. I will reach that paradise. I am not worried. I have my house(shell) with me. I am safe."he thought.

As he was almost at the middle of the road, trying to achieve his challenge.
A white car stopped by, a tall young beautiful lady got off the car. (that's me 😆)

Little Sam realised a human was walking near him and tucked himself into his shell (house).

She just spoke to him,"Hey little fellow, I think this is not your playground, you are lost and this is dangerous, let me take you back to the lake".

Little Sam tried to run away but knowing his species they can't crawl faster.

The human woman lifted him and took him away from the road. Little Sam wriggled to frigthen the lady with his guts but she wasn't afraid.

She just put him back into the lake. Nothing could be better than his lake home. Little Sam swam deeper into the lake and peek at her back.

Little Sam thought to himself,
"The world out there is dangerous for him either he could be in a soup bowl or crashed flat by a big tyre. He was thankful and grateful for saving his life.

Not all humans are dangerous, they some who care for us not like those that eats my species greedily".

Life is not easy to live even though its greener on the otherside of the world.

Moral of the story, don't be greedy and God is watching over you.
