90's Childhood Yesterday Years
90’s were my yesterday years of childhood, I grew up in that era which was the best thing in my life. So many memories that I can still share with all my friends we all grew in that very same years.
There are difference between the kids today and kids of the
90’s, if I look back into the year I grew up learning by watching cartoons.
They kind of cartoons I used to watched in my younger age and today’s cartoons
are so different.
Cartoons are not bad of course, but the 90’s are known as
the golden age of cartoon shows for many reasons. For those who grew up during the
90’s, our evenings were filled with brilliant cartoon shows that we wait for the whole day just to watch them for 30 minutes. In Malaysia, the local TV only plays the the cartoons from 5pm till 6pm in weekdays where else over the weekend is just in the mornings from 8.30am - 9.30am.
These are few of the cartoons I have listed that I grew up
watching them in the evenings and weekend mornings.
Top Cat – feline team.
Scooby Doo – was a detective show that kept us glued on to
the screen.
Tom & Jerry – all time favourite that keeps us bursting
of laughters.
The Yogi Bear , his nephew and the Ranger.
The Jetsons – gave me a glimpse of the future looks like.
The Jetsons was a family in future with
flying cars, living high in the air, robotic maids, video phones ( which is the
reality now) and flat screens, this show
was way head of its time and we could see the imaginations now in this future
we are living in. If I look at today's eveolved technologies, we are heading towards Jetson's world soon.
The Flinstone – Stone age cartoon . Jetson gave me a glimpse
of the future where esle the Flintstones was all about the prehistoric life.
Life in the prehistoric years with some modernization added to make it
interesting and creative like feet powered cars, dinosaur pets, stone TV and
newspapers but this show really pushed our imaginations to its limits I would
say.
Looney Tunes - has something
for everyone. It had many characters in one cartoons that I simply can’t have a
good time watching them. Bug’s Bunny and his tagline “What’s Up doc”, Daffy
Duck and his silliness, Sylvester and Tweety Bird with Granny, Road Runner with
the Ostrich and the Coyote were the famous of all. Each of them was an epic in
their own way.
Duck Tales – an old classic. But none of us who have dreamt
of swimming in a room of gold coins like Uncle Scoorge Mc Duck and his nephews
; Loiue, huey and Dewey.
The Addams Family was totally a different kind of a cartoon
that was all about the vampires, Dracula, Frankenstein, and Ghost. As
crazy has it could be which was not true but its not bad at all. It was the craziest and funny cartoon too.
Captain Planet – was one of the amazing cartoon that really
thought us so much and we had so much to learn too from it. It’s about the 5
elements and how it’s are combined to make our world a better place to live in.
It was more of an environmental cartoon than being funny and crazy. It thought us how to care about the environment and nature. Learn to protect and save the world.
I am a Weasel maybe not everyone’s cup of tea, in time many
of us learnt the humour from it. The Weasel and the Baboon were also the best comedy cartoons.He-Man,Popeye,Tales-Spin,Chip n Dale
were few other list of cartoons that are not being played now either.
Some of the 90's cartoons that has brought memory back are being directored into movies like Transformers, Hulk, Avengers, Ironman etc. Marvel and DC were part of 90's TV shows.
For me personally, the yesterdays years of 90's was a living era, only those grew up in that years will understand what I am writing in here.
