The Voice - Part 1

I heard the voice of a man calling my name. I was in a meditative mode and immediately, it felt like someone had grabbed my hands and pulled me upwards and as I opened my eyes everything seemed strange, I was floating in the air, I was grabbed by my hand pulled higher than the ground. I could see myself below  still in the meditative position. I was levitating; I could see my dog as it stared at me as I passed through the door. I could see my house disappearing in the distance below me. I tried to look up but still nothing visible, I was taken very fast passing through the clouds. Everything was clouds, white fogs and nothing or no one can be seen. Actually I was sort of ‘levitating’ in to the sky. It seemed like I was taken far away and suddenly I landed on the smoky place as like on clouds I guess. Everything looked like it had a bit of a glow to it. I heard my name again and it seemed like the voice was coming from beside me. I could recognise that voice, I have been missing th

Black and White Life

Sometimes the life we live in are black and white and those are truly the powerful colours that can be interesting at times, and even at other times it might be necessary.  But there is nothing that truly brings out the beauty and truth in life than the many shades of grey within the black and white.   Let’s paint it with black and white but not realizing the detail shades of grey among the black and white. Every detail of our lives is hidden among the shades of the grey. There are things that are definitely black or white that might help you to have a better perspective of looking at life from a different angle. Too many of us tend to make that very mistake when we judge a situation, or when arriving to a decision.  We apply the black or white rule and leave out the various shades of grey.   Look at a situation with that was just painted black or white, you risk of missing out the beautiful details that could make the overall picture of the situation be so much more clear and

Myths of Lord Shiva

Today I had spend a great moment talking with my uncle when she share a story about Lord Siva. He asked if did I know that Lord Siva was a Siddha-Deva. I said, I didn't know that. Then he continued the story.  The story actually was initiated as we were in a Indian Restaurant and there was a "Nadaraja" picture of Lord Shiva in his Rudra Thandavam post.  He asked me," Which leg is he standing and which leg is lifted?' I told him,"He is standing on his right leg". Then he told me ,"Have you observed all the Nadaraja statues or pictures of him standing on the right leg, but have you seen one where he will be standing on the left leg instead". I told him, "Not at all I have seen one of those". Then he said," There is a statue in Madurai temple that has a statue with him standing on his left leg, but he wasn't sure of the story behind that." I managed to Google for the story of   Left Leg N
My sister was sharing a very nice short story that made a lot of sense and also about the big differences in change of a word or statement.  An old blind man was begging in the street and he had a board that says: "I am Blind, please help me". Then one day a rich lady comes by, she helps the Old blind beggar. And since that day the lady came by, this blind man had been getting lots of help and money from the people. Again on another day, she came by to visit the blind man and he knew it was the same lady by knowing her voice tone.  He asked her what did she do that people were helping him. She said," I just changed the words written on the board" as "It's a beautiful day but I can't see it". The blind man felt that he owe that lady a gratitude of life for changing his life by just changing the words which has changed everything for him. The change of a statement can bring a big change in life. Power of words are

The Wrong Choice of Life...

Many women have dreams about getting married; being with the man they love. Even I had my own dream of a beautiful wedding. I actually wanted to get married on a perfect wedding as I can’t resist myself imagining it. But also sometimes I get a thought to believe that there is nothing to think about the wedding as when the day comes all factors for the perfect wedding may already be chalked out. Every girl in her twenties will have the biggest dream in finding the right Mr. Right. Yeah, I mean that is what every girl will have a thought of THE Mr Right, that is not denial able though. Prince charming, Prince of Love, bla..! bla..! , maybe a fairy tale inspired I could say. ( a blank thought in my head , if  I ever had this thought or either imagined it, might be maybe in my childhood I guess, smiling to myself now), so back to my line here. So every girl would have had an outline of THE Mr Right , the most common deadline that we set for ourselves is to be married and have

Nicholas Spark...

Image
Nicholas Spark is a well-known romantic love story novelist. Most of his novels have been adapted to films which were amazing. The notebook; A Walk to Remember; Message in Bottle; Nights in Rodanthe; Dear John; The Last Song; The Lucky One; Safe Haven; Best of Me; The Longest Ride; Latest is ; The Choice; Even though I am an avid reader, I am very choosy over my books. I don't enjoy much of romantic or love stories kind of books. But something in Nicholas Spark’s words didn't make me read his books but watched the movies adapted from his books. Sometime books will be boring to read if we can’t imagine the story in our mind, though sometime if the movies adapt from the books that you want to get hold of the book to experience the story in your mind. With his latest adaption “The Choice”, the most heart wrenching story that would keep our mind with this question running in our heads forever,  "How far would you go to keep the hope of l

Being Disable Nothing is Impossible

Image
I was watching a TV show that is performanced by the less privileged young people. They was a group of blind people and they performed a dance. They were new on that stage and they took a day to practice the dance. They don't even know if they are placing their stepsite right which could miss a step and they might drop of the stage but the kept up to their coordination and danced gracefully. The moral of the story is that, even a blind human does knows how to coordinate his life without knowing what danger lies in front of him and they are so confident and strong to face the world like no other normal human. "Never underestimate their ability with their own disability" - Vicky Murugesu. "Being Disable Nothing is Impossible " - Vicky Murugesu. I have shared few pictures in here from Google. Every picture says a story of their ability and strength that they also can achieve something despite their disability. If they can do it why not we a

Fifty Shades of Truths about the Taboo thing

The time has evolved humans are still the same. The only difference is that  the open societies tolerate the difference and they allow you to express your sexuality. Though we sweep everything under the carpet but God knows what's going on in our heads. You cannot stifle someone's imagination. Many people don't talk about it, there is so much taboo about it, though few talk about it and for better or worse it exerts a major influences over our culture; but we know relatively little about it. It's time that we broadened our horizons. Accept the facts right about it, and get the taboo thought off the head. It could be a myth that woman don't read or watch anything about it. They might not be into what men are into, but they have their own thing going. There is the whole world of fan fiction and one of it that made tons of millions was " The Fifty Shades of Grey". Women all over the world bought it, they were all over for the handsome hunk "Gre

Wonderful Valentine's Day

A weekend with my cousin brother and my niece. The time and moments were so precious. My little sister wanted to do something over the Chinese New Year school holidays but since it the most peak of the festive holidays, we planned for it on the Valentine's Day and book rooms at Royal Chulan Hotel in KL City. We invited my little brother (cousin) to join along. He is a CP child (Cerebral Palsy) and he is very special to all of us in the family.  My niece and my brother are fond of each another. It was the very first time he has stayed with us away from his parents. He had his best moment with us as we played "Ring a Ring Roses" and "Choo-choo Trains". We made him walk and run , Gossh..! he had a wonderful time chuckling and laughing. Later in afternoon we took the kiddos to the KL Aquarium , it's an underwater world. It was a field trip for this kids as they learn about types of fishes and met few kinds. The amazing thing is, KL has sharks, turtles, an

My Story About Love

Since today is Valentines day, I had a thought of Love and how I in my own opinion was looking at the wrong picture all about LOVE. LOVE is one of the best things in the world to give and certainly to receive. It is hard not have any expectations of love. We see the love between our parents from an early age and that defines a big aspect of love for us. Then there are songs written about love, lyrics that describe every emotion available when it comes to being or not being in love.  Movies depict love in all its magic and wonder, along with its anguish, pain and grief.  Books, love novels describe fairy tale love of prince charming and a happily ever after ending.  With all this information filed away, it is not surprising that we grow up subconsciously conditioned to associate love with certain things and expect people in love to behave in a certain way. Falling in love is undeniably as it is one of the best feelings in this world and making the experience on

Ola Bola....

Finally I managed to watch this Malaysian inspired movie based on a true story of our Malaysian football team . It is truly a Malaysian movie as it beautifully captures what it means to be a Malaysian. The movie had so many concept to observe from friendship, team work and most of all understanding, trust, family and love. It didn't have something to differentiate each another as religion, racist or skin colours. This movie has inspired the whole nation to always stay united. There were some well said quotes in the dialogues example - thought we have different in skin colours we still eat nasi lemak together. “kulit kita lain warna, tapi kita sama-sama makan nasi lemak.”     Our skin colors may be different, but we all eat nasi lemak .  We the audience get a taste of these culturally diverse lives that are united by a common thread, especially the bond of family. What’s so beautiful about this movie is that these culturally different lives are showcased in a way

Predictions and Believes...Guidance to your Life

Fortune tellers are they saying the truth... If so how true? Different religion believes in their own kind of fortune tellers. Tarot cards reader, hand palm readers, finger print reading, and many more methods. But seems like all are based on your date of birth based and day or night. That's how your time starts the minute you have arrived into this world. Today I had a question from my Hayday(Facebook) friend. She asked me if I believed in fortune tellers. But it depends though. They are many kind of fortune tellers and some are liars and some are true, though we can't differentiate them and as its all based on prediction only. As for the Hindus, they follow the prediction to guide their lives. Astrology and Astrologer play main a role in a Hindu's life. But how many do believe in it just because some of it brings negative thoughts and disturbs their minds for the whole life. They are people who live their life based on these daily horoscope predictions,
